Disney Announces New Monsters Inc. Land Coming to Hollywood Studios

During the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23 2024, Disney brought out Mike Wazowski actor Billy Crystal to announce an area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios dedicated to the beloved Pixar Animation Studios film, Monsters Inc.

A New Adventure Awaits

The new land will immerse guests in the world of Monsters Inc., complete with iconic characters, attractions, and dining experiences. Guests will be able to step into the bustling metropolis of Monstropolis and explore the world from the perspective of Mike and Sulley.

Laughter is the Key

According to Disney, the new land will be a space where laughter is the key. It will feature a variety of attractions, including a family-friendly roller coaster, a water ride, and an interactive play area. Guests will also be able to meet their favorite Monsters Inc. characters and enjoy themed dining experiences.

Big Changes Coming to Animal Kingdom

In addition to the Monsters Inc. land, Disney also announced big changes coming to the Animal Kingdom amusement park. A new Spaceship Earth-themed land will be added, along with a new attraction based on the popular animated film Moana.

These new additions are part of Disney’s ongoing effort to invest in its theme parks and create memorable experiences for guests. The Monsters Inc. land is expected to open in 2025, while the Spaceship Earth land is scheduled to open in 2027.
