Blue Jays Bowden Francis Loses Another No Hit Bid In 9th Inning

Blue Jays' Bowden Francis Loses Another No-Hit Bid in 9th Inning

A Recurring Nightmare for the Young Pitcher

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Bowden Francis has once again seen his no-hit bid vanish in the ninth inning, marking the second time in three weeks that he has come tantalizingly close to making history.

On Tuesday night against the Chicago Cubs, Francis was in complete control for eight innings, striking out 10 batters and not allowing a single hit. However, with just three outs to go, Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki broke the spell with a solo home run.

Deja Vu All Over Again for Francis

Three weeks earlier, Francis had a similar experience against the New York Yankees. He carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning that night as well, but Aaron Judge ended his bid with a home run.

The back-to-back setbacks are a cruel twist of fate for the 27-year-old Francis, who has otherwise been a bright spot in the Blue Jays' rotation this season.

A Lesson in Resilience

Despite the disappointment, Francis has vowed to learn from these experiences and come back stronger.

"It's tough to lose a no-hitter in the ninth inning, but I'm not going to let it get me down," Francis said. "I'm going to keep working hard and try to get the next one."

Blue Jays manager John Schneider praised Francis for his resilience and determination.

"Bowden is a great pitcher, and he's going to be a star in this league," Schneider said. "These setbacks are just going to make him stronger in the long run."
